In the late afternoon, on Boxing Day 2021 saw the starting of the Bush fire just 10 Months after the February Wooroloo Fire where 86 homes were destroyed.

The Mundaring Media Network was the only media outlet producing live up to date bulletins and providing information as it was breaking, being picked up by the eastern states of Australia.
